It’s a non-invasive, visual inspection of the structure and components of a home to identify items that are either not performing correctly or are unsafe. If a problem or a symptom of a problem is identified the home inspector will note the problem in a written report and may recommend further evaluation by licensed professionals. Prior to closing, you need to consider whether the repairs are needed now and who is going to pay for them.
